There are all sorts of fun activities to do on the Kenai Peninsula and our lodge is located right in the heart of it all. Fishing is the number one activity that guests choose, but there are myriad other choices that will suit the whole family. Razor clam digging is available just a short 30-minute drive away. With just a shovel, hip boots and bucket you could dig yourself a fine collection of clams that make delectable cuisine.
An exciting past time for non-fishers is a scenic rafting trip on the Upper Kenai River. You can choose from a meandering trip filled with history and wildlife viewing or a more adventurous trip to include the Kenai Canyon, Cooper Landing’s Class II whitewater. The rafting trip is just a 50-minute drive from Cusack’s on the Kenai.
Glacier viewing is available from Seward, Alaska. In addition to the opportunity to visit this charming seaside town, you will also get the pleasure of seeing oceanic wildlife and viewing magnificent glaciers before heading back to the lodge for a gourmet meal and a cozy place to sleep.
Homer is another oceanside community filled with reasons to visit and definitely worth the day trip. One good motive is to take a fly-out tour from Homer to across Cook Inlet to Katmai National Park to witness Alaska’s famed powerful brown bears in action.
Right in Soldotna we have museums, festivals, shopping, plus canoe trips, horseback riding, hiking, and more.
